1. Who we are and these terms
Mayan Play and Aetherbound: Gatekeeper are operated by MAYAN TRADING LIMITED（瑪岩貿易有限公司）, UNIN C(S01),1/F HONG KONG IN BUILDING, 444-452 DES VOEUXRD WEST, SHEK TONG TSUI HONG KONG. Contact mayantrade@outlook.com. These terms govern the website, free browser game and virtual-item purchases. Mandatory statutory rights prevail where required.
2. Eligibility and responsible play
You must have legal capacity to enter a purchase contract, or purchase through a parent or guardian who accepts responsibility. Use accurate account and billing information. Gameplay is solo entertainment and involves no real-money rewards, wagering or tradable prize.
3. Accounts and security
The free game can be played as a guest. Purchasing and saving paid equipment requires a Mayan Play account. Keep your credentials private. Orders and entitlements belong to the purchasing account and are not transferable between players. Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
4. The free game
Gatekeeper is a five-wave survival game with free starter equipment. Purchases are optional; the entire game can be completed without them. Browser performance, input method and device capability can affect play. Your personal-best score is stored locally on your device and has no cash value.
5. Items and their effects
Products grant the permanent, non-consumable account entitlement described on their listing: a weapon, armor, companion or relic for Gatekeeper only. Exact effects are shown before purchase. Rarity is a creative classification, not a monetary value, investment or random prize. No third-party game accounts or credits are included.
6. Virtual license and visuals
A purchase grants a non-exclusive, personal right to use the specified item in this game while the service is available and the purchase remains valid. It does not transfer artwork copyright, commercial asset rights, a 3D model or physical property. AI-assisted product illustrations show the item concept. The game uses shared character and companion sprites with equipment-specific attacks or attributes. Items are not separate skins unless expressly stated.
7. Prices, taxes and order acceptance
Prices are in USD, with the total, applicable tax and valid discounts disclosed at checkout. Placing an order is an offer; acknowledgement is not payment confirmation. We accept an order on confirmed payment and supply, or express acceptance. We will contact you about an obvious material error and offer corrected terms or cancellation with any amount due returned.
8. Payments
Only methods shown at checkout are supported. Use a method you are entitled to use. The PayPal button currently creates a Pending payment order without opening PayPal or charging real funds. A player must sign in before checkout; registration is available on the account page. Items remain locked until payment is confirmed. An unpaid, failed, on-hold or cancelled order grants no active item. See the Payment Policy.
9. Delivery and account inventory
After payment is confirmed and an order is processing or completed, eligible items appear in the purchasing account’s inventory. Refresh purchases on the homepage if needed. Equip one item per slot. Saved loadout changes apply to the next run. Delivery is a server-validated account entitlement, not a physical shipment or current downloadable file. See the Delivery Policy.
10. Duration, changes and availability
Permanent items have no scheduled expiry while the game service operates, but do not guarantee perpetual operation. We may correct defects or adjust balance reasonably; if a material paid feature is removed or changed detrimentally, applicable remedies remain available. We do not promise an uninterrupted website. Keep account details and order references.
11. Cancellation and withdrawal
Available cancellation actions apply to unpaid pending, failed or on-hold orders. Paid orders require refund review. A support request alone is not cancellation confirmation. Digital delivery or use may affect change-of-mind remedies where lawful, but a generic checkout checkbox is not a blanket waiver of mandatory withdrawal rights. See the Cancellation Policy.
12. Refunds and remedies
Contact us about non-delivery, faulty entitlements, material misdescription or duplicate charges. Report within 14 days where possible without shortening a longer right. We may restore, correct, replace or refund as appropriate. Full refunds and fully refunded item lines revoke the relevant entitlement unless another valid purchase grants it. A partial adjustment may leave rights active. See the Returns & Refunds Policy.
13. Conduct and intellectual property
Do not interfere with account security, manipulate payment or ownership records, harass others, distribute malware, impersonate the company or infringe third-party rights. Our game is original and not affiliated with third-party franchises. Report a credible intellectual-property concern with a URL and supporting evidence. We may take proportionate action against abuse while preserving mandatory consumer remedies.
14. Privacy and communications
The Privacy Policy explains order and account data, game entitlements and loadouts, support, essential cookies and optional marketing. Local personal-best scores stay in your browser. Gameplay scores are not a verified public leaderboard. Marketing consent is separate from purchase and can be withdrawn.
15. Warranties and liability
We take reasonable care to describe and supply the game and items accurately, and will investigate defects. We do not guarantee compatibility with an unspecified browser or uninterrupted access. To the extent lawful, we are not responsible for unforeseeable or unrelated business losses. We do not exclude fraud, wilful misconduct, legally protected personal-injury liability or any duty, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Governing law and disputes
Hong Kong law applies subject to mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rules where you live. Contact mayantrade@outlook.com with your order reference so we can try to resolve a problem. This does not prevent a competent court, regulator, dispute process or lawful payment remedy.
17. Updates, severability and contact
We display a revised date when these terms change. The purchase terms at the time of an order apply unless a lawful change is agreed. If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues where possible. Failure to enforce is not a permanent waiver.
